The Climate Academy is dedicated to advancing our understanding and response to the sustainability crisis to a systems level. The programme is available to anyone around the world, all the resources are free.
The first pillar of The Climate Academy programme is “Systems Understanding”. The 16 chapters and videos of the free Student Book start with the latest climate science conclusions and progress into a deep cultural exploration of the key economic and social, political and psychological forces in play.
The second pillar, “Civic Engagement” is about mobilising that understanding into the public space and developing your skills and talents along the way. The programme classifies the most transformative achievements as “Systems Entrepreneur”, our third pillar.
Your achievements on the programme can be formally recognised. We have scaffolded the learning into a set of certificates that are plugged into the EU’s The GreenComp Framework. Our modest fee for these official Open Badges enables us to keep our programme active and growing (the pricing structure that is informed by the differences between countries from the Global North and South).
