This project aims to advance international commitments to Climate Change Education (CCE) by providing schools in Europe and beyond with innovative ways to engage in CCE; enabling teachers to feel confident and motivated to introduce CCE teaching in their lessons; empowering young people with knowledge, skills, a voice and a platform to inform and influence others; and helping to foster a community among educators and youth to share information and build solidarity in the face of the climate crisis.
We’re aiming to develop self-guided cross-curricular CCE teaching resources focused on climate literacy and multimedia journalism production; focusing on innovative pedagogical methods that develop students’ knowledge, technical and transversal skills, a voice and agency; developing multi-format guidance and support tailored to teachers’ diverse needs; and facilitating cross-border multimedia collaboration, online community spaces and in-person teacher training opportunities.
